How to find us

Throughout Pitlochry, there are brown tourist information signs indicating various hotels, some of the signs point to 'Balrobin' which is the former name of Beinn Bhracaigh, so you can safely follow those signs to find us.

By Car

From the A9 northbound (towards Inverness), leave at the Pitlochry junction and follow the road into the town. You will pass Blair Atholl distillery (on your right) and then pass underneath a railway bridge and will see the Atholl Palace hotel entrance on the right. Take the next turning on the right, 'East Moulin Road', and follow it up the hill. The second turning on the left will be 'Higher Oakfield', which is where we are located. Turn into Higher Oakfield and you will find us on the left hand side, the entrance to the car park is just after the large (illuminated at night) 'Beinn Bhracaigh' sign.

From the A9 southbound (towards Edinburgh), leave at the Pitlochry junction and follow the road into town. You will pass through the main street with its shops and restaurants. You will see 'McKays' hotel on the left and shortly afterwards reach traffic lights, with a store called 'Mountain Warehouse' on the left. Continue straight ahead, passing 'Fishers' hotel on the right. Shortly after passing Fishers, there will be a turning onto 'Bonnethill Road' (with a store called 'Coorie in the Corner' on the junction). Follow Bonnethill Road, passing 'Scotland's Spa' hotel on the right and taking the next right turn onto 'Toberargan Road'. The road will bend to the left, keep following it - taking care as there may be pedestrians in the road - and you will come to 'Higher Oakfield' on the right. Follow Higher Oakfield and you will find us on the right hand side towards the end of the road. 

By Train

Pitlochry is well served by train with connections from most major Scottish cities as well as trains arriving from London (including the Caledonian Sleeper). When you leave the station, you can walk to the house in 15-20 minutes. Make your way up into the town from the station and turn right on Atholl Road (the main street with all the shops, restaurants etc.). You will pass Fishers Hotel on the right and shortly afterwards will come to a turning on the left onto 'Bonnethill Road' with a store called 'Coorie in the Corner' on the junction). Follow Bonnethill Road, passing 'Scotland's Spa' hotel on the right and taking the next right turn onto 'Toberargan Road'. The road will bend to the left, keep following it - taking care as there is no pedestrian footpath - and you will come to 'Higher Oakfield' on the right. Follow Higher Oakfield and you will find us on the right hand side towards the end of the road. Bonnethill Road into Toberargan Road has a slight hill, so if you have heavy cases it might be sensible to pre-book a taxi. Please be aware it is unlikely you'll find a taxi available outside the station, or if you call on arrival, as they are in high demand. You can pre-book by calling either of these companies:

You could also catch a Number 24 bus from the car park next to the station, or from Fishers Hotel in the town centre, getting off at 'Darach Road', and as you disembark, turn right and follow the road, you will find us on the right hand side about 1 minute (or less) from the bus stop. 

By Bus

Most bus services such as Megabus or Flixbus will drop you off in the centre of town, at Fishers Hotel. You can then walk to the house in approximately 10-15 minutes. With your back to Fishers Hotel, turn right and follow Atholl Road (the main street with all the shops, restaurants etc.) until you reach a turning on the left to 'Bonnethill Road' with a store called 'Coorie in the Corner' on the junction). Follow Bonnethill Road, passing 'Scotland's Spa' hotel on the right and taking the next right turn onto 'Toberargan Road'. The road will bend to the left, keep following it - taking care as there is no pedestrian footpath - and you will come to 'Higher Oakfield' on the right.
